It all started with this little black dress.
I remember asking my husband few months ago when their company Christmas party will be held and was their a theme. So as usual, I browsed in my favorite online shopping site ASOS to check out some dresses that are available for plus size women like me.
I ended up choosing this ASOS Design pleated shoulder dress and ordered it in UK 16 (which is equivalent to a US 12 or usually an XL). Upon it's arrival, obviously I had to fit and check. I even asked our kasambahay to help me zip up my dress. We both struggled so at the back of my mind, "Shit, hindi kasya!"
I had a few days left before December 13, I have decided to finally go on a diet. Inspired by Kate Hudson famous line from her 2009 movie Bride Wars, "You don't alter Vera Wang to fit you. You alter yourself to fit Vera!" And, voila! #PapayatKaNaMaye was born.
It has been 7 weeks since I started religiously working out at home. Progress has been slow, my weight hasn't been going down, BUT, I do feel much more energetic now. I can even carry my 13kg son longer than usual, meaning hindi na masyado hinihingal tulad noon. ;)
I also decided to quit drinking coffee and milk teas with pearls. I'm crossing my fingers, legs, and toes that I survive this new decade without these two. For now, I binge on drinking hot green tea to get a bit of caffeine. The benefits so far is that I regularly poop now which is good because I am constipated and I hate eating vegetables too.
Speaking of eating, I recently tried 16/8 way of intermittent fasting. It's been two weeks and so far so good. I don't have any bad swings despite not having breakfast. I choose not to have breakfast because obviously that's easier than not having anything before sleeping. Ang hirap kaya matulog ng gutom!
Anyway, that's all for now. I'm updating just so my blog is updated. Haha. But I'll try to post more stuff about #PapayatKaNaMaye here on the blog soon!
P.S. I wore my trusty old Spanx so thank goodness the dress fit and my husband was able to zip up the dress onto me. ;)
