Wearing head-to-toe Adidas for Day 55 of #PapayatKaNaMaye
To my fellow Chubby Chic's out there, where in the Philippines can I find a local but good quality high-waist workout leggings? I've always been a fan of local brand Sassa, you can only see them in selected department stores like Landmark or Metro Market! Market! so it's a good thing some of their items are now available through Zalora.
I'm taking inspiration from plus-size model Ashley Graham since I turned a Size 16 after giving birth. Ms. Graham has embraced her plus-size body and it has obviously paid off, even landing one of the covers for January 2020 ish of Vogue US.

I tried to search for the brands that she usually wear but obviously they're too expensive for a stay-at-home mom like me. π
Apart from Sassa, I regularly buy my workout clothes from Adidas and shop only when it's sale season. Haha.
Anyway, a fellow mom shared that she works out with Cotton On's body active wear and I decided to check the store last weekend where I got the last stock in XL for Php1200:
They make you feel like you're wearing compression leggings, a bit tight to wear during first try. But what I loved the most is that it really is high waist and the waist band never rolled down and literally stayed in place. ππΌ The fabric used is a bit thick too so don't worry about see-through panties (but I do suggest to wear black undies just to be sure). I'm liking it so far and might get a few more if Cotton On Philippines will offer them on sale. π
But going back to my original question, I wish more local brands offered good quality plus-size active wear. I mean, I'm sure you can all relate that it's nice to workout when you have really good looking workout clothes. LOL
Once this blog becomes a success, maybe it would be a great idea to launch a Chubby Chic brand. A girl can dream... π₯°
P.S. #PapayatKaNaMaye is still on and I'm currently on Day 55 as I type this post. So far, I weigh the same (193lbs) but I do feel that my old clothes are starting to fit my body again so that's good news.
